Events
Here’s the latest schedule of CAWA events/trips, starting May 2011 and culminating in January 2012 and then the CAWA AGM!
The trips tend to conincide with public holidays but the gym crashes are every four to five weeks. For CAWA members, a gym crash involves cheaper entry to the gym, climbing, pizza (extra $5) and raffles/prizes. They provide an excellent opportunity to meet people, chew the fat, lie about your climbing feats and organise to hook up on the weekends. The gym crash schedule will be adhered to as much as possible, but in the unlikely event that a date needs to change, you will be given plenty of notice.

CAWA Members "Knots Knight" @ Rosie's Northbridge, Upstairs: 29/02/2012 07:30 PM - 29/02/2012 09:00 PM
CAWA’s famous Knots Knight…Come down and learn how to tie those knots which any climber should know.
From the simple clove hitch to the more advanced prusik, and a lot in between! We will be demonstrating how to tie these knots and then taking you through the whole process.
Additionally we will be discussing in what general situations you could end up using these knots. From tying into the end of a rope, to which knots to use to set up anchors and belay anchors.
